The European Homicide-Suicide Study has been initiated by Dietrich Oberwittler (Max Planck Institute, Freiburg, Germany), and is being pursued jointly with Paul Nieuwbeerta (Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement, Leiden, Netherlands) and Marieke Liem (Utrecht University, the Netherlands), Janne Kivivuori (National Research Institute of Legal Policy, Helsinki, Finland) and Martin Killias (University of Zurich, Switzerland).
